Serie A high flyers Fiorentina are considering a January bid for AS Roma winger Juan Manuel Iturbe, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Viola did really well to climb to third in the league standings and the club owners believe the team have a chance of actually lifting the coveted trophy.
As a result, chairman Andrea Della Valle has told the sporting department that they have €10 million to spend in the January window.
Signing a winger to compensate for the departure of Joaquin is one of the priorities and Viola hope to recruit AS Roma’s Juan Manuel Iturbe on loan until the end of the season.
The Argentine hasn’t played much before the likes of Mohamed Salah and Gervinho suffered injuries and he would probably be open to a January exit.
At the same time, Fiorentina are closing in on Benfica centre-back Lisandro Lopez and also aim to sign a holding midfielder as Mario Suarez is almost certain to leave.
