After finally landing Giovani dos Santos, Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has now recommended the signing of Lassana Diarra to the Tottenham board according to the Daily Mail.
Director Damien Comolli is set to try and persuade Portsmouth to sell up for Diarra after the French international had an impressive half-season at Fratton Park.
Diarra, 23, is a versatile defender/midfielder who would make a key addition to Ramos’ squad due to his ability to play across the field.
Pompey are unlikely to let him go without a fight though, with the defender only spending 6 months at Fratton Park since his move from Arsenal.
However, Diarra has expressed his desire to possibly leave the club before, and with his impatience proven by his time at Arsenal, Pompey could be hard-pushed to keep the Frenchman.
