Colombia international James Rodriguez has been linked with a return to Real Madrid.
Spanish outlet Marca claims Los Blancos new boss Julen Lopetegui believes the Colombian might still have a future at Santiago Bernabeu and is certain Rodriguez can make up for much of the creative shortfall caused by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
James Rodriguez moved to Bayern Munich in 2017 on a two-year loan deal but a return could still very well be on the cards.
Bayern Munich are said to be open to James Rodriguez negotiations and have already identified a potential replacement.
Italian media reports have been thrown in the mix with claims that PSG out-of-favour star Julian Draxler could move to Bayern this summer. The German international hasn’t received first-team guarantees from the new boss Thomas Tuchel and is believed to be looking for a way out.
Liverpool have also been in the running for the 24-year-old but Bayern Munich appear to be holding an advantage over the Champions League finalists.
