Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera has learned that AC Milan are pondering a move for QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
The Brazilian was surprisingly allowed to leave Inter Milan in the summer, and he has since proved his worth in England’s top flight.
Cesar’s impressive showings were not enough to help QPR escape the relegation zone and the experienced keeper is widely tipped to leave Rangers unless they can miraculously avoid the drop.
Il Corriere della Sera understands that AC Milan want the 33-year-old to replace Christian Abbiati, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
A move to Inter’s arch rivals would be a perfect way for Cesar to get revenge on his former employers for the lack of faith in his services.
The Brazilian has proved that he can still perform at a very high level and he is likely to be interested in returning to the biggest stage.
