Napoli are on the verge of signing Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar from QPR, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Azzurri are in the market for a new number one and they seem to have made the former Inter shot-stopper their number one target.
With QPR prepared to let Cesar leave on a free transfer, all that’s left is for Napoli to agree personal terms with the 33-year-old.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is just 300,000 euros separating the two sides at the moment, with Cesar looking to get €2.7 million per campaign and the Azzurri offering €2.4 million.
Nevertheless, it is believed an agreement will be reached in the coming days, allowing Napoli to sell veteran keeper Morgan De Sanctis to Roma.
The Giallorossi have chosen the Italy international as their new number one, but the transfer seem to depend on Julio Cesar’s proposed move to Stadio San Paolo.
