On the flip side, while Derry might find themselves battling it out at the top of the Premier Division standings, Finn Harps are enduring a nightmare Premier Division run this season. Now holding just a three-point buffer from dropping to the foot of the table, the Blues have also failed to win any of their last nine top-flight contests on the spin. Managing to muster just a pair of points on that woeful run of form, Sunday’s hosts have also shown some extended issues on home soil. With their stellar run of form highlighted by a 4-0 romp against Corinthians on July 2nd, the Tricolor have really found a clinical edge in the final third. Now sat just a single point adrift of breaking into the top-four, Fluminense have also impressed away from the Maracanã since opening the 2022 campaign. Including a remarkable 10-1 win against Bolivia side Oriente Petrolero back in May, Diniz’s side have lost just one of their last nine matchups on the road. As for this weekend’s hosts, watching their own eye-catching unbeaten run come to an abrupt end in midweek, Sao Paulo will be seeking an immediate response here. Eventually falling to a penalties defeat away at Palmeiras following a lively 2-2 draw on Copa do Brasil duties, that was the first defeat that the Soberano have suffered over the past month. However, gaining a reputation for their lively affairs, the Whites have seen four of their last five contests across all formats finish with both teams getting on the scoresheet. Likewise, it should also be noted, with three of the last four meetings between Sunday’s opponents finish with both teams finding the net, a similar outcome can be found at attractive odds here.
