July 21st: Friday’s Daily Double – 9/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With another stacked schedule from across the footballing globe this weekend, Friday offers a host of interesting affairs.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Friday flutter, we have found a couple of helpful tips that can offer a lucrative return for your bet.

12:35 Tianjin Jinmen Tiger vs Shenzhen

Watching their extended unbeaten run come to an abrupt end away at Zhejiang Professional last weekend, there is no doubt that Tianjin Jinmen will be seeking an immediate response here. Eventually suffering a 2-1 loss on their travels, the Tigers should also be excited by the prospect of a return to home soil this weekend.

Remarkably suffering just a single defeat from any of their 17 Super League showdowns so far this season, Friday’s hosts still have their sights firmly set on mounting a genuine AFC Champions League charge in 2023.

Looking to make up some ground in the top-two chase here, Yu Genwei’s side have certainly gained a reputation for their continued success at the Tianjin Olympic Centre.

Including signing off June with an action-packed 3-2 victory against Qingdao Hainiu, the Tigers have not tasted a single defeat in front of their supporters over the past nine months.

On the flip side, while Shenzhen might have eventually clung to their Super League status last season, Xiang Jun’s side are in the midst of what has become a major top-flight nightmare.

Sat rock-bottom of the table and only putting 11 points on the board from their first 17 Super League appearances, Friday’s guests have lost each of their last eight straight domestic matchups across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to May 28th.

Last seen putting in another woeful display as they suffered a 4-1 drumming at home against Shanghai Port, the Phoenix have shown a host of defensive issues this season.

Including back-to-back 5-0 defeats against Qingdao Hainiu and Beijing Guoan, Shenzhen have shipped a remarkable 28 goals on that eight-match losing rut.

16:30 HIFK vs JJK Jyvaskyla

Managing to make what was a crucial return to winning ways last week, HIFK are now hoping to find some much-needed stability. Still sat firmly in pole position to claim a top-half finish this season and holding a five-point buffer over the chasing pack, Friday’s hosts will certainly be smelling the chance to lay down another Ykkonen marker here.

Last seen storming their way to a routine 4-0 romp away at KPV, Sami Okkonen’s side are still dreaming of the chance to book an immediate top-flight return in 2023.

Drawing a line under their seven-match winless rut and claiming a first domestic victory since the end of May last time out, fans around the Bol Arena will be calling on the red-hot Antti Ulmanen to spearhead their charge this weekend.

Bagging a stunning hat-trick away at KPV last time out, the 24-year-old has now notched four Ykkonen appearances and will certainly be looking to cash in on a struggling JJK here.

Although the Jyvaskyla-based outfit might have made a second-tier return this season, Friday’s guests are enduring what has been a nightmare run of form since opening the 2023 campaign.

Losing each of their previous three Ykkonen outings by an aggregate score of 7-3, Toni Lehtinen’s struggling squad have also mustered just a single win from any of their last 12 straight second-tier appearances.

Likewise, last seen on their travels getting hit with a 3-1 loss at the hands of SJK, it should also be highlighted that JJK have shipped 11 goals in just their last four showdowns away from the Harjun Stadion.
