July 24th: Monday’s Argentinian Double – 3/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With the return of Europe’s elite only just around the corner, it will once again be South America that steals most of Monday’s headlines.

Ahead of an eye-catching schedule from across Argentina’s Primera Division, we have found a couple of helpful Monday tips that are worth taking note of.

20:30 Talleres Cordoba vs Gimnasia y Esgrima

Extending on their Copa Argentina adventure earlier in the week as they punched their Round of 16 ticket, Talleres are in the midst of what has become a stunning purple patch. Eventually claiming a famous 1-0 victory away at River Plate, Monday’s hosts have continued to gain a string of plaudits since opening the 2023 campaign.

Sat second in the Primera Division standings and now tipped as a leading contender to claim a Copa Libertadores spot this season, Javier Gandolfi’s men have lost just one of their last 14 straight appearances across all competitions.

With that remarkable flurry stemming all the way back to April 23rd, the Cordoba-based outfit have also gained a reputation for their rugged performances at the back.

In fact, along with keeping a clean sheet in each of their last four domestic showdowns, Gandolfi’s high-flying squad have conceded just a single strike at the Francisco Cabases since the middle of May.

Simply looking to widen their buffer in the top-three chase, Talleres should be relishing Gimnasia’s arrival on Monday night.

Crashing out of the Copa Sudamericana last month after enduring a real group stage nightmare, Sebastian Romero’s side have continued to show a string of glaring issues on either side of June’s international break.

Mustering just a single victory from any of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to May 23rd – Monday’s guests certainly face a tough test here.

It is also worth noting, the Wolfs have drawn a blank in six of their last seven showdowns outside of La Plata.

23:30 Racing Club vs Central Cordoba

While Racing Club might have been hugely frustrated after missing out on a top-half finish, the Academy are certainly signing off the 2023 campaign with a real flurry. In the midst of what has become a major resurge over the past couple of months, Monday’s hosts will simply be looking to make another Primera Division statement here.

Extending on their Copa Argentina adventure earlier in the week as they picked up an eye-catching 2-1 victory against San Martin Tucuman, Fernando Gago’s side should find the mood in their camp at a season-high.

Opening July with a stunning performance on the road as they breezed their way to a 4-0 romp against Colon, the one-time Argentina midfielder has seen his squad lose just one of their last 13 appearances across all competitions.

Getting their Copa Libertadores knockout stage run underway next month, Racing Club will be looking to cash in on a Central Cordoba side who are enduring an extended wobble.

Now suffering back-to-back defeats against Independiente and Rosario over the past week, Monday’s guests have mustered just a single win from their previous six outings.

Likewise, failing to secure back-to-back domestic victories since the start of April, Abel Balbo’s men have also recorded just one goal on their travels in over 300 minutes of action.

Hit with a routine 3-1 drumming when they welcomed Racing Club to Santiago del Estero 12 months ago, a similar home victory can be found at appealing odds here.
