Although Vitoria might have secured a Serie A return this season, Thiago Carpini’s men have a real battle on their hands in the race to keep hold of their top-flight status. Enduring what has become a real struggle, Saturday’s guests are already sat in the relegation zone and bracing themselves for a real challenge here. Suffering last-gasp heartbreak at home against Brazil heavyweights Flamengo earlier in the week as they suffered a 2-1 loss, the former Guarani boss has seen his squad lose all of their previous four Serie A appearances. Likewise, signing off June with a 1-0 loss at the hands at Athletico-PR, the Salvador-based outfit have also lost six of their last seven top-flight battles. Likewise, falling to a 1-0 defeat when they welcomed Palmeiras to the Barradao for their reverse showdown on April 14th, we are expecting a similar outcome this weekend.
