Likewise, punching their Copa do Brasil semi-final ticket on July 15th after they edged past America MG, the former Flamengo boss should find the mood in his camp at a season-high. Suffering just a single defeat at the Neo Quimica Arena since the start of May, there is no doubt that the Timao should be smelling a golden chance to make another domestic statement on Saturday night. Although Vasco might have only made their top-flight return this season, it is no secret that Ramon Diaz’s squad are tipped as a leading Serie A relegation contender this time around. Sat rock-bottom of the table and already six points adrift of safety, the Rio-based outfit are enduring a public nightmare in 2023. in fact, along with losing each of their previous three appearances by an aggregate score of 5-0, it should also be highlighted that Saturday’s guests have remarkably lost nine of their last 10 straight outings.
