July 3rd: Monday’s Brazil Double – 4/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With the U21 European Championship semi-finals getting underway later in the week, it will be South America that steals most of Monday’s attention.

So, for those of you looking to place a Monday flutter, we have created your ultimate Brazilian betting double.

22:00 Mirassol vs Ituano

While Mirassol might have only made their Serie B return this season, Monday’s hosts have continued to impress many across Brazil’s second-tier in 2023. Skyrocketing their way into the top-six and with some in their camp even dreaming of the chance to make another genuine promotion charge, Ricardo Catala’s men should be smelling the chance to make a statement here.

Although Monday’s hosts might have been disappointed after only collecting a 1-1 draw away at Sao Bento over the weekend, the Sao Paulo-based outfit have lost just a pair of their previous seven Serie B appearances – a run that stems back to May 23rd.

Marking their return from June’s international break with an action-packed 3-2 victory against ABC, Catala’s side should be excited by their extended purple patch on home soil.

Including back-to-back 1-0 wins against Criciuma and Ponte Preta, Mirassol have won each of their last four second-tier showdowns at the Jose Maria de Campos Maia by an aggregate score of 7-2.

Likewise, suffering just a single loss in front of their own supporters since the start of March, the Yellows should be relishing Ituano’s arrival on Monday night.

Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they suffered a 1-0 loss at home against Ponte Preta, Gilmar Dal Pozzo’s men are certainly looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap.

Holding just a three-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, the former Sport Recife boss has seen his struggling squad win just one of their last 11 Serie B contests – a run that stems back to May 3rd.

Betting Tip: Mirassol win & Under 3.5 goals @ 23/20 with Pribet

00:00 Goias vs Coritiba (04/07/23)

While Goias might have entered June’s international break in the midst of a wobble, the Big Green have certainly found a welcomed boost over the past fortnight. Although Armando Evangelista’s men might still find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap, there is no doubt that the Verado should be smelling the chance to make a Serie A statement here.

Last seen making an immediate return to winning ways as they claimed an eye-catching 2-1 victory away at Santa Fe while on Copa Sudamericana duties on June 28th, the former Arouca boss has seen his squad suffer just a single loss from their previous five appearances across all formats.

Rightfully tipped as a standout contender when they return to the Estadio da Serrinha here, Goias should also be excited by their rugged performances on home soil.

Including a 2-1 victory against Paysandu on May 31st, it should be noted that Evangelista’s men have lost just one of their last five showdowns in front of their own supporters.

On the flip side, while Coritiba might have clung to their Serie A status last season, caretaker boss Thiago Kosloski’s knows that he has an almighty job on his hands in 2023.

Last seen getting hit with a nightmare 5-1 drumming at the hands of Gremio, the Coxa sit rock-bottom of the Serie A standings and have remarkably collected just four points from any of their first 12 domestic battles.

Hit with a 1-0 loss when they travelled to the Estadio da Serrinha for a top-flight showdown 12 months ago, we are expecting a similar outcome here.
