June 17th: Monday’s EURO 24 Double – 8/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With this summer’s European Championships now officially underway, the action will role onto Monday.

Watching the likes of England, Germany and Holland all open their respective EURO 24 adventures with three points, the duo of Belgium and France will steal centre stage on Monday.

With a host of intriguing EURO 24 betting markets abatable this summer, we have taken a glance at two of the best available markets throughout Monday.

17:00 Belgium vs Slovakia

Suffering a major World Cup nightmare out in Qatar 18 months ago as they remarkably failed to find a route out of the group stage, Belgium have a huge amount of pressure on their shoulders this summer. However, despite still waiting to get their hands on a maiden piece of international silverware, the Red Devils are enjoying a major flurry.

Signing off their pre-tournament preparations with a routine 3-0 victory against Luxembourg, the European giants are certainly enjoying life under Domenico Tedesco.

Storming their way to EURO 24 and collecting 20 points from their eight qualifying appearances last year, Belgium are unbeaten in all of their previous 15 consecutive appearances across all competitions.

With that purple path stemming all the way back to their World Cup exit in the winter of 2022, the former RB Leipzig boss will be calling on his golden generation to make an early statement of intent here.

On the flip side, enjoying what was an historic EURO 24 qualifying adventure last year, Slovenia have certainly underlined their status as one of Europe’s ultimate surprise packages.

However, despite signing off their pre-tournament preparations with a thumping 4-0 victory against Wales, the Falcons are still pencilled in as a real outside contender to find a route out of Group E this summer.

Hit with a 2-1 loss when they last met Belgium back in February 2013, there is no doubt that Slovakia face what will be a monumental leap up in class when they travel to Frankfurt on Monday evening.

Betting Tip: Romelu Lukaku to score anytime @ 6/5 with Pribet

20:00 Austria vs France

Relinquishing their World Cup crown in the most heartbreaking of fashion out in Qatar 18 months, France are seeking an immediate response when they return to the major tournament stage. With many still billing Les Bleus as a standout contender this summer, Didier Deschamps’ men are looking to get their hands on a first European crown since 2000.

However, signing off their pre-EURO 24 preparations with a downbeat 0-0 stalemate at home against Canada, France have claimed just a pair of victories from any of their previous five appearances across all competitions.

Nevertheless, not suffering a single defeat during their qualifying campaign last year and making a major statement during November’s International break as they secured a 14-0 victory against Gibraltar, Deschamps’ superstar squad still hold a fearsome reputation.

Not suffering a single competitive defeat since their World Cup final defeat against South American giants Argentina back in the winter of 2022, France will have plenty of eyes on them here.

Although some might have been shocked two years ago as it was announced that Ralf Rangnick would be taking charge of the Austrian national team, they have continued on a remarkable rise under the former Manchester United boss.

In fact, aside from an action-packed 3-2 loss against Belgium during October’s international break, that is the only defeat that Das Team have suffered from any of their previous 16 appearances across all competitions.

However, although Austria might be dreaming of the chance to spring an almighty upset on Monday night, it should be noted that they have recorded just a single victory from their last 10 historic meetings against France.
