June 23rd: Sunday’s MLS Accumulator – 6/1

While EURO 24 might continue to steal most of this summer’s attention, we do have another stacked weekend of MLS action.

With 12 separate MLS fixtures throughout the early hours of Sunday, we have a host of eye-catching betting tips.

So, for those of you that are looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have taken a look at three of the most appealing MLS betting markets.

Sunday, June 23rd

BST 01:30 New York Red Bulls vs Toronto FC

While New York might have failed to muster a single victory from any of their previous three MLS appearances, the Red Bulls have gained a string of plaudits since opening up the 2024 campaign. Cruising their way to a play-off ticket and still battling it out at the top of the Eastern Conference, Sandro Schwarz’s men will certainly be smelling the chance to claim a much-welcomed boost here. Signing off May with a stellar 3-1 victory against Charlotte, the former Hertha Berlin boss will also be excited by the prospect of making a return to New Jersey in the early hours of Thursday. Including an action-packed 4-2 win against New England last month, New York have registered 10 points from just their previous four MLS showdowns at the Red Bull Arena. Likewise, it should also be highlighted, Schwarz’s men have not suffered a single defeat from any of their first nine consecutive appearances in front of their own supporters.

Enduring what was another public MLS nightmare last season as they finished rock-bottom of the Eastern Conference table, Toronto once again find themselves at the heart of another public struggle. Last seen earlier in the week falling to what was a 2-1 loss at home against Nashville, the Reds have continued to show some glaring issues since opening up the 2024 campaign. Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny last weekend as they suffered a 4-1 drumming at home against Chicago, John Herdman’s side have collected just a single win from any of their previous eight MLS appearances – a run that stems back to May 5th. Facing what will certainly be a real struggle when they travel to New York in the early hours of Sunday, Toronto have lost all of their last six straight trips to the Red Bull Arena by an aggregate score of 13-1.

Tip: New York Red Bulls win @ 4/7

02:30 Minnesota United vs Austin FC

Putting in a nightmare performance earlier in the week as they eventually fell to a 5-3 loss away at Dallas, Minnesota will be looking to dust themselves down quickly. Nevertheless, while the Loons might have collected just a single victory from any of their previous six MLS appearances, Sunday’s hosts are breezing their way to a play-off return this season. Opening up the 2024 campaign by losing just a pair of their first 12 outings, Eric Ramsay’s men will certainly be excited to make a welcomed return to Allianz Field this weekend. Opening June with a routine 3-1 win against Sporting KC, Minnesota have collected 11 points from their previous five MLS showdowns in Saint Paul. Likewise, it should also be highlighted, the Loons have lost just one of their last first nine MLS appearances in front of their own supporters.

Suffering last-gasp heartbreak at home against Los Angeles earlier in the week as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate in Texas, Austin have drastically struggled to find any kind of stability since opening up the 2024 campaign. Opening June with an infamous 5-1 drumming at the hands of Real Salt Lake, Josh Wolff’s men have collected just a single point from any of their previous four MLS appearances. Likewise, without a win from any of their last five outings and recording just a pair of top-flight victories over the past two months, Los Verdes have also shown some glaring issues on the road. Last seen on their travels falling to a 2-0 defeat against Colorado, Austin have managed to muster just a sole win away from the Q2 Stadium from any of their previous nine straight attempts.

Tip: Minnesota United win @ 1/1

03:30 Los Angeles FC vs San Jose Earthquakes

Although Los Angeles might have been disappointed earlier in the week as they had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate away at Austin, the Falcons find themselves at the heart of a real MLS romp. Firmly battling it out at the top of the Western Conference standings and pencilled in as a leading title contender, Steve Cherundolo’s men have remarkably collected 19 points from just their previous seven MLS appearances. Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways in the early hours of Sunday, LAFC have also gained a fearsome reputation for their success on home soil. Including a thumping 3-0 win against Vancouver last month, Los Angeles have won all of their previous four straight top-flight contests at BMO Field by an aggregate score of 11-2. With the mood in Cherundolo’s camp at a red-hot high, the Falcons should be smelling a golden opportunity this weekend.

Continuing on what has been an infamous MLS rut since opening up the 2024 campaign, San Jose have broken a string of unwanted records. Last seen earlier in the week falling to a 2-1 defeat at home against Portland, the Goonies sit rock-bottom of the Western Conference standings and they will be bracing themselves for another monumental challenge in the early hours of Sunday. Opening June with a woeful 5-1 drumming at the hands of New York City, the California-based outfit have lost all of their previous three MLS appearances by an aggregate score of 11-4. Crashing out of the USL Cup last month against USL side Sacramento Republic, San Jose have also collected just a sole point from any of their last six MLS appearances. It should also be highlighted, Sunday’s guests have shipped nine goals in their back-to-back defeats away from PayPal Park.
