June 24th: Saturday’s Brazil Double – 4/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With another stacked schedule from across the footballing globe this weekend, it will be Brazil’s elite that steals most of the attention.

On a Saturday night that promises plenty of interesting fixtures, we have created your ultimate Brazilian betting double.

21:00 Chapecoense vs Criciuma

Although Criciuma might have been disappointed after missing out on clinching a Serie A return last season, the Tigers are desperate to go one step further in 2023. Managing to make an immediate return to winning ways last time out as they secured a hugely impressive 1-0 victory away at Vitoria on June 11th, Claudio Tencati’s men will be looking to make another statement here.

Opening this weekend’s showdown sat just a single point adrift of breaking into the top-four, the former Londrina boss should also be excited by his side’s continued success away from Heriberto Hulse.

Including a 2-1 win against Ponte Preta on April 22nd, it is worth highlighting that Santa Catarina-based outfit have lost just one of their previous six Serie B appearances on the road – a run that stems all the way back to March 30th.

Although Criciuma might have failed to secure back-to-back second-tier victories since the end of April, Tencati’s promotion contenders should be relishing a trip to the Arena Conda on Saturday night.

Putting in another downbeat display last time out as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against leading relegation favourites ABC, Chapecoense find themselves in the midst of another extended Serie B rut.

Marking their return this weekend sat in the drop zone, Gilmar Dal Pozzo’s struggling squad are without a win from any of their last six straight appearances.

Likewise, putting just a single Serie B win on the board from their previous 10 attempts – a run that stems back to April 23rd – the Big Green should face another tough challenge here.

Betting Tip: Criciuma win @ 9/5 with Pribet

22:30 Fortaleza vs Atletico-MG

Although Atletico-MG might still be enjoying what has been an eye-catching flurry this season, it is fair to say that Saturday’s guests are seeking some recent stability. Forced to settle for back-to-back stalemate against Fluminense and Bragantino on either side of June’s international break, Luis Felipe Scolari’s side have now won just a pair of their last six appearances across all competitions.

However, still tipped as a leading contender to claim a lucrative top-four finish this year, the one-time Chelsea boss has seen his side continue to impress on the road.

Including consecutive 1-0 wins against Lima and Cruzeiro earlier in the month, Atletico-MG have suffered just one away defeat over the past six weeks.

As for Fortaleza while Juan Pablo Vojvida’s men might have opened June in the midst of a struggle, the Tricolor came roaring back on their return from the international break.

Last seen claiming a 1-0 win away at Cruzeiro, Saturday’s hosts have also gained a reputation for their displays at the Castelao. A huge part of Fortaleza’s success on home soil has come thanks to their stellar defensive resolve.

In fact, along with keeping four clean sheets in their last five domestic showdowns in front of their own supporters, Saturday’s hosts have shipped just a pair of goals in Ceara in over 500 minutes of action.

It should be noted, with Fortaleza and Atletico-MG playing out a 0-0 stalemate when they last met at the Castelao eight months ago, neutrals could be treated to another cagey affair this weekend.
