June 4th: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 6/1

With the UEFA Nations League taking center stage this weekend, we have some interesting meetings from across the footballing globe. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday June 4th

BST 14:00 Armenia vs Ireland

Starting with Saturday’s guests, while Ireland might have really struggled to have found their feet immediately under Head Coach Stephen Kenny, they are enjoying an eye-catching run of form. While the Greens might have failed to book a ticket for this year’s World Cup finals, they are now in the midst of an extended eight-match unbeaten run. With their purple patch stemming all the way back to a 2-1 loss at the hands of former European champions Portugal back in September, Ireland should be smelling the chance to lay down another marker here. Last seen back on March 29th when snatching a last-gasp winner at home against Lithuania, Kenny’s men have also impressed with back-to-back 3-0 romps on foreign soil. Breezing their way past both Luxembourg and Azerbaijan, Saturday’s guests will be looking to cash in on an Armenia side who are enduring a real nightmare. Last seen getting hit with a remarkable 9-0 drumming away at Norway, Joaquín Caparrós’ side have lost four of their last five outings. Likewise, along with managing to muster just a single victory from any of their previous 11 outings across all formats, they have also shown some rather glaring issues at the back. Including a shock 5-0 defeat at the hands of North Macedonia seven months ago, Armenia have shipped 19 goals in those four defeats.

Tip: Ireland win @ 21/20

17:00 Hungary vs England

While England might have been left heartbroken at Wembley last summer, there is no doubt that Gareth Southgate’s men have bounced back in some style. Cruising their way to this year’s World Cup finals out in Qatar, the Three Lions are also tipped as one of the standout picks to claim their first international title since 1966. Last seen back in March when picking up a routine 3-0 victory against the Ivory Coast on home soil, Saturday’s guests are unbeaten in each of their last nine matchups on the spin. With their recent purple patch stemming all the way back to their European Championship heartbreak against Italy 11 months ago, Southgate’s men have also gained a reputation for their success in the final third. Including a 10-0 romp against European whipping boys San Marino, England have bagged a staggering 20 strikes in thier last five victories. With a squad that is glittering with attacking options, Southgate’s men will be looking to open their Nations League campaign with a flurry. On the flip side, while Hungary might be enjoying their brightest run over recent times, they face a huge task here. Sanctioned to play Saturday’s contest at the Puskas Arena behind closed doors, they should be worried by England’s last trip to town. Despite picking up a gritty 1-1 draw when they made the trip to Wembley last year, the Magyars were hit with a 4-0 drumming when they hosted England nine months ago.

Tip: England win & Over 1.5 goals @ 4/5

23:00 Athletico-PR vs Santos

For our final Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Brazil’s Serie A and an Athletico-PR who are in the midst of a real eye-catching run of form. While Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side might have spent the majority of last season looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, the one-time Chelsea boss has seen his side make a string of improvements. Last seen picking up a 1-0 victory away at Cuiaba, the Hurricane’s are now enjoying an extended four-match unbeaten run. Now with their sights set on making a shock charge for the top-four. Likewise, with their recent purple patch highlighted by a thumping 5-1 win against Venezuelan outfit Caracas on May 26th, Athletico have also won six of their previous seven matchups across all formats. With their hugely impressive run of form stemming over the past month, the Furacão have also continued to shine on home soil. Winning each of their last six straight showdowns at the Arena da Baixada, they will be looking to cash in on a Santos side who are in the midst of a recent rut. Last seen getting hit with a 1-0 loss against Palmeiras on home soil, Fabián Bustos’ men have managed to win just one of their last five matchups. Likewise, showing some real issues in the final third and bagging just a single strike in any of those five outings, the Peixe have also recorded just a single victory on the road since back on February 9th.

Tip: Athletico-PR win @ 19/20
