June 9th: Sunday’s MLS Double – 3/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

While all of Europe’s elite might be putting together their final preparations before this summer’s European Championships getting underway, we still have a handful of MLS affairs on the cards.

With four MLS showdowns set for the early hours of Sunday, there are plenty of interesting betting markets that are available.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have found a pair of the most eye-catching MLS betting tips.

01:30 Minnesota vs FC Dallas

While Minnesota might have suffered a major MLS struggle last season as they missed out on the chance to claim a play-off ticket, the Loons have come roaring back this time around. Battling it out at the top of the Western Conference table, Sunday’s hosts will certainly be smelling the chance to make another statement of intent here.

Last seen putting in a thumping performance at Allianz Field storming their way to a routine 3-1 romp against Sporting Kansas City, Eric Ramsay’s men find the mood in their camp at a real high.

In fact, Minnesota have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous eight consecutive Premier League appearances – a purple patch that stems all the way back to April 14th.

Likewise, claiming an eye-catching 2-1 win against Portland last month, Ramsay will also be excited by his side’s continued success on home soil.

It should be highlighted, the Loons have collected 10 points from just their previous four MLS appearances at Allianz Field.

On the flip side, last seen putting in another downbeat performance as they slumped to a 1-0 loss away at Los Angeles, Dallas have shown some rather glaring issues since opening up the 2024 campaign.

Scrapping it out at the foot of the Western Conference standings, Sunday’s guests are without a win from any of their previous four MLS appearances and they appear to have another tough challenge on their hands here.

Signing off May with a 3-1 drumming against LA Galaxy, the Burn have also continued to gain a reputation for their issues outside of Texas.

Including another 3-1 loss away at Toronto on May 5th, Dallas have failed to register a single MLS victory on their travels since opening up the new campaign.

01:30 Sporting Kansas City vs Seattle Sounders

Although Seattle might have opened up the 2024 campaign in the midst of a real struggle, Sunday’s guests do appear to have turned a recent corner. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat just two points adrift of skyrocketing their way into the play-off places, the Sounders could be relishing a trip to Missouri here.

While Brian Schmetzer’s men might have suffered last-gasp heartbreak on home soil last week as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Real Salt Lake, the Greens have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous nine appearances across all competitions.

With that extended flurry stemming all the way back to a 2-1 loss away at DC United on April 28th, Seattle will also be excited by their recent success away from Lumen Field.

Last seen on there travels collecting a 2-1 victory away at St. Louis, the Sounders have won three of their previous four showdowns on the road.

Putting in another nightmare performance last week as they slumped to a routine 3-1 defeat away at Minnesota, Sporting find themselves in the midst of a public MLS struggle.

Sat rock-bottom of the Western Conference table and coming under a huge amount of recent scrutiny, the Wizards have remarkably lost all of their previous seven consecutive MLS appearances.

Signing off May with a 2-1 loss at home against Vancouver, Peter Vermes’ men have also continued to show some glaring issues at the back.

In fact, along with losing all of their last seven straight MLS outings by an aggregate score of 15-7, it should also be highlighted that Sunday’s hosts have failed to record a single top-flight clean sheet since back on March 10th.
