The agent of Spanish midfielder Jose Jurado has revealed that his client will be returning to Schalke when his loan deal at Spartak Moscow comes to an end.
Jurado has been loaned to the Russian giants last summer, and he has enjoyed a bright start to his career in the Russian Premier League.
Even so, Spartak have yet to open talks over a permanent deal for the Spanish midfielder, which means Jurado is likely to return to Schalke in the summer.
“Spartak behave very passively in regards to Jurado’s case,” the player’s agent Kostas Floris told Izvestia.
“There was no talks over a permanent move whatsoever. If the situation does not change, he will return to Schalke at the end of the season.”
Jurado is unlikely to remain at Veltins Arena even if Spartak opt against buying out his contract as Wiolfsburg are showing interest in his services.
The 26-year-old has utterly failed to prove his worth at Schalke after arriving in a €13 million move from Atletico Madrid, and the Miners are now looking to get back at least some of the money invested in him.
Schalke value the player at €6 million, but they might have to further lower the asking price if they want to get rid of him in the summer.
