Liverpool have cast an eye on Cologne goalkeeper Timo Horn, according to German publication Bild.
The highly-rated 22-year-old shot stopper had been linked with Reds in the past, but the arrival of Jurgen Klopp has seen interest in Cologne custodian rise, with Liverpool manager stepping up the chase.
According to reports from Bild, Jurgen Klopp has sent his chief scout Dave Fallows to watch Tim Horn in action during the goalless draw at Augsburg on Friday night in German Bundesliga.
Horn made one save and registered a clean sheet for the first time since early March, but his number of saves this season (118) rates him high in the German championship.
The talented shot stopper is contracted to Cologne until 2019 and is believed to have a €9 million release clause.
Liverpool are widely expected to make a move for the German keeper in order to increase competition for places with Belgian custodian Simon Mignolet, who has been criticized for his poor performances in several occasions throughout the ongoing season.
