Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is willing to pay £70 million for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Liverpool are among the clubs who are keen on the Argentina international midfielder, and that Klopp personally wants to bring him to Anfield.
Mac Allister has been on the books of the Seagulls since 2019 and came to the fore this season when he helped Argentina win the 2022 Qatar World Cup finals. The 24-year-old has made 25 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Brighton so far this season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in the process.
Liverpool are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 44 points from 29 matches, as many as 12 points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United. Meanwhile, Brighton currently find themselves seventh in the standings with 49 points from 29 games.
