Juventus and Milan are locked in the battle for Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli, according to reports from Italy.
The Serie A title rivals are looking for midfield reinforcements in January and they are likely to move for the Sampdoria youngster, who is seen as one of the hottest prospects in Italy.
Milan were planning to bid for the 21-year-old Poli next summer but after being informed of Juventus interest, the Rossoneri are now looking to bring the player in January.
Milan chiefs have built a good relationship with Sampdoria management following Antonio Cassano’s proposed move to San Siro and they hope that will give them the upper hand over Juventus.
On the other hand, the Bianconeri are hoping their sporting director Beppe Marotta, who brought Poli to Sampdoria in the first place, will play a key role in luring the midfielder to Juventus.
