Juve and Napoli vying for Brazilian hotshot

Juventus and Napoli are battling for the signature of Fluminense full-back Wallace, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.

Napoli have been surprisingly inactive in the summer transfer window, that is after selling Ezequiel Lavezzi to Paris Saint Germain and it appears the club chiefs are currently looking to the future.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Azzurri have shown interest in Fluminense midfielder Wallace.

The same source claims Napoli have long ago opened talks with the player’s representatives, but their €2 million bid is well short of Fluminense’s valuation of the player.

Juventus took advantage of the situation and offered around €4 million for the highly rated youngster, thus moving to the front of the queue.

The 18-year-old has scored one goal in nine appearances for the Brazilian club, and he is currently part of the Brazil Under-20 side.
