Juve boss Del Neri laments repeating mistakes

(GSM) – On Thursday, Juventus suffered another painful loss when they were beaten by Palermo (3-1) at their own ground. Afterwards, coach Luigi Del Neri admitted they keep committing the same mistakes.

The Bianconeri thought they were on the right track last weekend with a 4-0 victory over Udinese, but the same errors occured on Thursday and Juve already suffered their second loss of the early season against the Sicillians.

“It was a hard-working and eager performance, but we fell into the same old mistakes and this should not be happening,” said Del Neri.

“We created some good scoring opportunities and the effort wasn’t lacking, but we repeated the same errors in defence.

“Palermo did well to make the most of every situation they created. We suffered when they went forward, but as a collective in our defensive movement rather than as individuals.

“We are above all disappointed for our fans, who supported us throughout the match.

“The team has to work hard, improve and try not to get distracted again. We must be more firm and decisive in certain situations.”
