Juve enter the race to sign Lyon defender

Talk Sport are today reporting that Juventus are keen on signing Lyon defender Aly Cissokho.

The Serie A club had been linked with a move for Manchester City’s Aleksandar Kolarov but after talks on that deal appear to have stalled, they are turning their attention to the Cissokho.

Juve are hopeful that they could sign the Lyon man for a much lower price that Kolarov.

The French international is a target for plenty of clubs in the transfer window and the team from Turin are set to join the race to secure his services along with Napoli and Tottenham.

Cissokho has spent four years in Ligue 1 with Lyon but is now expected to move on and he could be spoilt for choice with where to go.

The Serie A Champions are not being shy this summer and whenever a player seems to be available, they are often in the hunt as they look to retain their title this season.

It is thought that Spurs boss Andre Villas Boas is an admirer of the left-back, but he may have to do battle with the Italian giants to bring him to White Hart Lane.

It could be a fascinating battle and one to certainly keep an eye on.
