(GSM) – Juventus fans will not be allowed to attend the Coppa Italia match against Internazionale at the San Siro on Thursday.

On Tuesday Italy’s sporting observatory decided to recommend that the away section stays closed.

The decision comes in the wake of a number of race-related incidents from Juventus fans in matches between the sides.

Recently Juventus supporters have sung racist songs and displayed racist banners toward Inter striker Mario Balotelli, who is of Ghanaian descent, in both matches between the sides and during other fixtures.

For Juventus’ match against AS Roma on Saturday the south stand was closed as it is where most of the abuse has come from.
