Arsenal have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Fernando Llorente as Juventus have ruled out selling the striker, the Daily Star understands.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a new forward after failing to bring in any further support for star man Olivier Giroud during the summer, and had identified the Spain striker as a potential option.
However, they will need to turn their attention elsewhere after the Serie A champions’ director Giuseppe Marotta has announced that the former Athletic Bilbao striker is not for sale.
The 28 year old scored his third goal of the season with the equaliser against Real Madrid at the Juventus Stadium on Tuesday evening, and will be hoping to add to his solitary Serie A strike when Antonio Conte’s side host Napoli on Sunday.
Llorente is available at a price of 5/1 to open the scoring against the side that currently sit a place above Juve in the division.
