(GSM) – Serie A giants Juventus have confirmed that they will enter the transfer market in January for possible new recruits.
Following a summer of high transfer activity that saw Milos Krasi?, Alberto Aquilani and Fabio Quagliarella as well as new coach Luigi Del Neri being recruited by the Turin giants.
But general manager Beppe Marotta feels otherwise, saying that he has outlined plans for further arrivals when the window reopens.
“We will do something in January,” he said. “We’ll speak about big investments again in June. We’re on the lookout for good opportunities and I think that discreet deals can be done.
“In fact, there are important players who for one reason or another could ask to leave their actual clubs.”
Juve, currently fifth in Serie A, are believed to be targeting a further striker.
Asked about Catania’s Maxi Lopez, Marotta said: “It’s not that I have no desire to name names, but the potential opportunities today might not be the same in January. We need to wait and see.”
