Juventus will attempt to clinch a deal for Samuel Eto’o if they fail to sign Didier Drogba from Galatasaray, according to the Express.
Drogba is the Serie A champion’s number one target, while his former employers Chelsea are also interesting in securing his services as they look to boost their striking options with Eto’o on his way out of the club after failing to have his contract at Stamford Bridge extended.
The Cameroon international, who will appear for the Indomitable Lions at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, made twenty-one appearances Premier League appearances for the Blues, scoring nine goals while he also netted three times in the Champions League.
Eto’o will come up against Croatia, Mexico and tournament favourites Brazil next month, and Volke Finke’s side are priced at 5/1 to qualify for the last sixteen of the competition.
The 33 year old won his first of 112 caps back in 1997, a day before his sixteenth birthday while a year later, he was the youngest player to participate in the 1998 World Cup.
