Juve set for summer shopping spree

Juventus are already preparing for the summer transfer window and the Bianconeri have lined up Michel Bastos, Andreas Beck and Giuseppe Rossi as their main targets, according to Tuttosport.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta yesterday stated that the club planed to sign four new players next summer as they look to add much needed quality to the squad.

The Old Lady is reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Lyon over Michel Bastos, with €15 million likely to prove enough to conclude the deal with les Gones.

Bastos has proved his potential at the big stage and as such is seen as a perfect addition to Gigi Del Neri’s squad, and is expected to form a first rate wing partnership with Milos Krasic.

Hoffenheim captain Andreas Beck is the favourite to fill the problematic right-back spot as the 24-year-old is thought to be very keen on a move to Turin.

Beck’s current contract expires in June 2012 and since he has no intention of renewing it, the Germany international should be available for a cut-back price next summer.

The last piece of the puzzle for Juve is Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi, whose goalscoring record and technical skills are exactly what the Bianconeri have been missing this season, although the Old Lady will really have to break the bank in order to sign the Italy international.
