(GSM) – Juventus midfielder Alberto Aquilani has urged the Italian club to sign his former Liverpool teammate Glen Johnson.

Johnson has been criticized by his manager Roy Hodgson for a string of poor performances and Aquilani feels the England defender would be perfect for Juventus.

Aquilani said in the Sun: “Who would I sign from Liverpool? I would get Johnson. He would do well here. He is good — super.”

Juve manager Luigi Delneri has already confirmed his desire to make additions to his squad in January.
