(GSM) – Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini has dismissed rumours about a move away from the Genoa side by pledging his future to the Blucerchiati.
Speaking ahead of Samp’s Champions League decider with Palermo, the Italy international told Sportweek: “Champions League qualification would partly make up for last year’s defeat in the Coppa Italia final.
“It was not nice to get there and then watch the others [Lazio] celebrate. I am ambitious and would like to win something in my career.
“Mind you, this does not meant I want to join another team.
“As soon as I set foot in Genoa, I realised it was the right place for me. It’s a match made in heaven, I wouldn’t change anything about it.”
And when asked about reports linking him with a summer move to Juventus, he added: “I hear people talking about my future, but no one has told me anything.
“My future is here. I feel like a god here. And this will not change next season, regardless of whether we will be in the Champions League or in the Europa League.”
