Juventus welcome Barcelona to Juventus Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tonight, and could well come out on top given their fine form on home soil compared to the woes of the visitors. Juve seldom lose in their own backyard while Barcelona can’t buy a win on the road of late and it could settle today’s encounter.
Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus side booked their place in the last eight of the Champions League after finishing top of Group H with 14 points from a possible 18. The Old Lady made light work of FC Porto in the last-16 and could take advantage of Barcelona’s travel-sickness.
The visitors made the quarter-finals this season after topping Group C with 15 points, but they were put through the ringer in the last-16 with a heavy first leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain before a bigger victory in the second leg turned their fortunes around.
