Italian champions Juventus have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid, Tuttosport can reveal.
Los Colchoneros accepted an offer of €18 million at a meeting in Madrid last night, and the transfer should be wrapped up in the coming days.
The arrival of Mandzukic in Turin basically means that Carlos Tevez is almost certain to return to Boca Juniors this summer.
Juventus had long been hot on the trail of the Croatian striker, and they have finally managed to secure his signature.
Mandzukic, 29, arrives at the club following a season-long spell with Atletico Madrid, during which he scored 20 goals in 43 competitive outings.
The Croatia star is club’s third major signing of the summer, with Sami Khedira and Paulo Dybala having previously joined from Real Madrid and Palermo respectively.
Juventus are also expected to bring Sassuolo hotshot Simone Zaza back to the club by matching the buy-back clause.
