Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra is set to join Serie A champions Juventus, according to Tuttosport.
Despite signing a new one-year deal with the Old Trafford outfit, the Frenchman expressed his desire to sign for the Italian giants and it appears his wish has been granted.
Tuttosport understands the two clubs have agreed on a €1.7 million deal, with the transfer set to be made official in the coming days.
Subject to passing a medical in Turin, the 33-year-old will sign a two-year contract worth no less than €3 million per campaign.
While midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was used as a left-sided full-back in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation, new boss Max Allegri plans to revert to a four-man defence, and Evra has a good chance to slot straight into the starting line-up.
Versatile defender Martin Caceres can also be used as a left-back and he is likely to challenge the Frenchman for a starting berth.
