Italian champions Juventus are believed to have agreed a contract with Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Bianconeri have elected the Italy international as a long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon and the player reportedly accepted a five-year contract worth €2.5 million per season.
However, Juventus have yet to agree a transfer fee with Genoa, who are holding out for €20 million.
The Bianconeri believe that is way too much for a player who has another year left on his contract and they have instead started the bidding at €12 million.
Mattia Perin, 25, is widely regarded as one of Italy’s most talented goalkeepers and he is expected to challenge Wojciech Szczesny for a starting berth in Turin next season.
