Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Juventus and Arsenal are locked in the battle for FC Basel defender Fabian Schar.
The Bianconeri aim to sign a new central defender in January and they are reportedly considering a bid for the Switzerland starlet.
But, even though Schar will be out of contract in the summer, FC Basel are holding out for no less than €10 million.
Nevertheless, Juventus continue to keep close tabs on the 22-year-old footballer, with a summer move also a realistic possibility.
At the same time, English giants Arsenal have been hot on the trail of Schar for quite a while and the latest reports suggest he is one of the top targets for Arsene Wenger, who is desperate to add a high-quality defender in January.
After spending last five and a half years in Swiss Super League, chances are the youngster will be interested in a big club switch.
