Tuttosport understands that Italian and German champions Juventus and Bayern are locked in the battle for Paris Saint-Germain hotshot Marco Verratti.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri plan to recruit a high-quality central midfielder or two, with Axel Witsel and Blaise Matuidi believed to be top of their list.
However, Tuttosport claims that Juventus are also keen on Marco Verratti, who wouldn’t mind leaving the Saints in favour of moving to Turin.
The only problem is that Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of selling one of their star players, especially now that they hope to mount a serious title challenge in the Champions League, while Bayern Munich have also been showing interest of late.
In spite of some minor altercations with new manager Unai Emery, Verratti insisted that he was perfectly happy to play under the Spaniard and that he was not looking to leave.
Having been stopped in the quarter-finals four times in a row, Paris Saint-Germain can be backed at 25/1 to lift the Champions League trophy this term.
