Juventus and Chelsea to battle for Higuain; Barcelona keen on Adrian Lopez

Juventus and Chelsea to battle for Higuain

Juventus and Chelsea are showing interest in Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, according to La Stampa.

The Argentine forward has been competing for a place in Real Madrid’s line-up with Karim Benzema, but it is the Frenchman who is considered the first choice in attack.

Higuain is reportedly not happy with his treatment at Santiago Bernabeu and could decide to search for a new challenge.

According to La Stampa, Juventus have already inquired about the possibility of signing the forward and they are reportedly ready to pay almost €30 millions for his services.

However, the Bianconeri could face a stiff competition from Chelsea, with the Blues also keen on the player.

Higuain has been in scintillating form this season, having scored 12 goals in 15 La Liga games, seven of which he started.

Barcelona keen on Adrian Lopez

Barcelona are keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez, Cadena Ser has revealed.

Pep Guardiola is looking to add another quality forward to the side after David Villa picked up a serious injury at the Club World Cup in Japan.

According to Cadena Ser, the Barcelona boss has set his sights on Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez.

The 23-year-old only joined los Colchoneros in the summer, having arrived on a free transfer from Deportivo La Coruna.

The player who shone at Under-21 European Championship in Denmark has already scored 11 goals in all competitions this season and managed to catch the attention of big European clubs.

Atletico Madrid chiefs will do everything to keep the player at Vicente Calderon, but they may not be able to resist a big money move from Barcelona.

De Boer reveals Real Madrid interest in Chivu

Ajax coach Frank de Boer has revealed that Real Madrid have shown interest in Inter defender Cristian Chivu.

The Ajax boss has repeatedly confirmed his desire to sign the Romanian defender, but is aware that the Amsterdammers are likely to face a stiff competition for the player’s signature.

“We know Real Madrid also want him, but we hope that he will choose to return to that which was his home,” De Boer told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 31-year-old’s contract at Giuseppe Meazza is set to expire at the end of the season and it looks as though the two parties will not be able to agree on a contract extension.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Chivu as a cover for the left-back position and the player’s agent recently admitted that a move to Santiago Bernabeu was a realistic possibility.
