(GSM) – Juventus director Roberto Bettega has stated that World Cup winning goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is ‘untouchable’.
The veteran keeper has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe following a frustrating campaign with the Turin giants.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern München are all reportedly interested in the Italian shot-stopper, who has made nearly 350 appearances for Juve in a nine-year spell with the club.
But Bettaga insists that Buffon is not for sale and he will remain between the sticks for the Old Lady next season.
“The team will certainly not let itself be distracted by these things,” the deputy general manager told the club’s official website.
“With regards to what was written about a supposed transfer of Buffon I would like to reassure the fans – Gigi is untouchable, he will stay at Juventus.”
Juventus are currently sixth in Serie A and crashed out of the Europa League last week to Fulham.
