Turin-based journal Tuttosport understands that Juventus are showing interest in FC Porto attacker Juan Manuel Iturbe.
The player who is currently on loan at Hellas Verona has caught the eye of Italy’s top clubs with some impressive displays this season, with Roma reportedly in pole position.
However, Tuttosport has learned that their title rivals Juventus have also joined the race for the 20-year-old forward.
The same source has suggested that Bianconeri general manager Beppe Marotta met with Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano to discuss the possibility of signing Iturbe.
Juventus plan to offload the likes of Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and Sebastian Giovinco, while looking to add some fresh blood to the attack.
The Old Lady appear convinced that Iturbe can make the grade in Turin and could, therefore, enter a real bidding war with Roma for the youngster’s services.
Having won eleven straight matches in Serie A, Juventus are priced at 1/6 to continue the trend against Sampdoria.
