Serie A champions Juventus are set to complete the signing of Boca Juniors youngster Tomas Pochettino, according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri scouts spotted the player’s talent at a youth tournament back in June and they have closely followed his performances ever since.
Having been persuaded that the 18-year-old has what it takes to succeed in Turin, Juventus officials have opened talks with the youngster’s employers.
Tuttosport has learned that the two sides have all but reached an agreement that should see Pochettino sign a long-term deal with the Bianconeri in the January transfer window.
Hellas Verona were another side interested in the highly rated midfielder, but Juventus appear to have won the race for his signature.
Due to the fierce competition for places at La Bombonera, Pochettino hasn’t managed to break into the senior side, but he seems to have done enough to earn a move to one of Europe’s top clubs nonetheless.
