Sport Bild has learned that Juventus are in talks over Eintracht Frankfurt defender Marc-Oliver Kempf.
The negotiations have been confirmed by German club sporting director Bruno Hubner, with the youngster likely to make a move to Turin during the January transfer window.
According to Sport Bild, Juventus will pay €500,000 for a six-month loan, while they will have the option to turn the loan deal into permanent move for another €4.5 million.
Kempf is widely regarded as one of Germany’s most talented defenders, but he hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth since being promoted to the senior side.
While making just one substitute appearance in Bundesliga this season, the 18-year-old have mostly been playing for club’s Under-19 and reserve sides.
The left-footed defender was handed his European debut in the Europa League victory over Bordeaux.
Juventus officials are, nonetheless, confident he will develop into a world-class defender and are determined to sign him at the earliest opportunity.
