According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are close to signing Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.
Apparently, the two clubs have been in regular contact over several possible transfers in both directions. One of the topics has been Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, but no agreement has been reached on that front and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly moved ahead of Villa in the race for his services.
However, Luiz’s move to Juventus remains firmly on the table. The Brazilian midfielder is believed to have accepted the idea, and Villa apparently need to complete the sale by the end of the month to comply with the Financial Fair Play rules.
One player who could move the other way is Samuel Iling-Junior. The 20-year-old winger was born in London and would surely feel comfortable returning to England, having taken his first football steps at the Chelsea academy. Also, with just four Serie A starts in 20223/24, he doesn’t appear to be in the long-term plans at the Allianz Stadium.
