Italian champions Juventus are on the verge of signing Argentine midfielder Tomas Pochettino from Boca Juniors, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Bianconeri decided to make a move on the 18-year-old footballer after he impressed playing for Boca’s youth sides and few days ago it looked as though they have agreed a transfer.
Juventus plan to sign the youngster on a one-and-a-half-year loan while including a €1.5 million buy-out clause in the deal.
However, the transfer negotiations seem to have hit some obstacles over the last few days, meaning that the deal has yet to be made official.
Juventus officials are clearly looking towards the future and they have signed a host of talented youngsters over the last couple of years.
And while the Bianconeri remain the dominant force in Italy, they have yet to prove their worth in Europe, where they can be backed at 5/4 to defeat Atletico Madrid and secure their progress into the Champions League knockout stages.
