Juventus chief Pavel Nedved has moved to confirm that Barcelona are showing interest in Bianconeri star Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman has become the Europe’s most sought-after footballer and the Old Lady officials are ready to cash in on his services in case they receive a mega money offer.
And while top European sides are readying summer bids, Juventus director Paul Pogba reveals that Barcelona are in the race as well.
“We know that Barca and other big clubs want him,” Nedved told Mundo Deportivo. “But he has a contract with us.”
Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be leading the chase for the French starlet, and the latest reports suggest it would take around €80 million to purchase the 22-year-old next summer.
Barcelona will not be able to make a move until their transfer ban is lifted in January 2016, meaning they can only hope Pogba remains in Turin after the summer transfer window closes.
The French midfielder will go down as one of the best signings in club’s history having scored 19 goals in 85 Serie A matches since joining on a free transfer from Manchester United.
