According to Tuttosport, Italian champions Juventus could wait until 2019 to continue their pursuit of Anthony Martial – this time as a free agent – following a roadblock in their negotiations. It’s no secret that The Old Lady are interested in bringing the Frenchman to Turin, but as of right now, the two clubs are some way off in terms of the transfer value that Juve are willing to pay.
Manchester United want £70 million for him, whereas Juventus are apparently only willing to fork out £53 million. Given the current nature of valuations in football, it doesn’t seem like all too much of a jump, but the Italians have already been busy in the transfer market this summer.
Martial’s future has been a hot topic for months now, and the 22-year-old seems intent on continuing his football journey away from Old Trafford. While he’s had some great moments in Manchester he’s certainly struggled as of late, and a move away seems like the next natural step.
