El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Italian champions Juventus have decided to end their interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri are in the market for a high-quality central midfielder and the Portuguese footballer was one of their primary targets.
However, having been repeatedly informed that Gomes was not for sale, Juventus have now dropped their interest.
According to reports, the Bianconeri will launch a fresh assault on long-term target Blaise Matuidi, who appears to be nearing a summer exit.
The Saints are forced to offload several high earners having broken the bank for Neymar and the France international could be allowed to move to Turin.
Matuidi, 30, spent last six years at Parc des Princes, scoring 23 goals and producing 16 assists in 203 competitive outings.
