Fabio Cannavaro won`t be able to play in the Champions League battle against Bayern Munich, on September 30. The Juventus defender suffered a thigh injury during Tuesday`s Champions League match against Bordeaux (1-1).
Scans revealed Cannavaro sustained a first-degree adductor longus muscle strain in his left thigh. The 36-year-old is ruled out for two or three weeks.
Midfielders Felipe Melo and Tiago also sustained injuries during Tuesday`s match. They are expected to be sidelined only for Saturday`s match against Livorno.
There wasn`t only bad news from Juve`s medical staff: midfielder Diego will return to the training field next week.
Juventus expects the Brazilian international will be able to play against Bayern Munich.
