Juventus are said to be giving up on the possibility of signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba during the summer transfer window, according to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport.

With the proposed figure for the purchase being set at around £100 million, the belief is that Juve will not be able to reach that kind of number in negotiations. It’s been no secret that the Frenchman has been entertaining the idea of a move away from Old Trafford, with a switch to the Italian champions being at the forefront of his plans.

The summer transfer window is going to be fairly congested as it is, and this probably isn’t going to help, because while Juve can say all they want that they aren’t interested in getting the deal done now, you can bet this deal is going to flame up again before too long – such is the nature of high stakes transfers.
