Italian newspaper La Stampa has suggested that Juventus are showing interest in Shangai Shenhua forward Nicolas Anelka.
While the Bianconeri have announced that Fernando Llorente will be joining the club next summer, they are still searching for a new attacker to arrive in the January transfer window.
After missing out on Didier Drogba and Lisandro Lopez, the Old Lady have been linked with a move for Nicolas Anelka.
La Stampa understands Juventus officials have already opened talks with the player’s representatives and presented them a six-month contract that includes various performance related bonuses.
Nicolas Anelka is thought to be keen on a move to Turin, but the problem is he is still under contract with the Chinese club.
He is, however, hoping to sever his ties with Shanghai Shenhua, but it remains to be seen whether he will succeed in his quest.
Anelka has had a difficult start to his career in China, and has scored just 3 goals in 22 league appearances for the club.
