Sport Bild is reporting that Italian champions Juventus have made a move on Manchester United reject Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The Red Devils are desperate to get rid of one of their highest earners, who has another two years left on his contract and they want mere £2 million for the 32-year-old footballer.
It is believed that AC Milan, Inter Milan and some MLS clubs are keen, but reports from Italy suggest that Serie A holders Juventus have already made their move.
The Bianconeri have failed in their attempts to recruit an experienced holding midfielder this summer and they reportedly plan to bring Schweinsteiger to Turin.
The former Germany captain was relegated to the reserves shortly after Jose Mourinho took over the reigns and chances are he will leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window closes.
Juventus officials seem to believe Schweinsteiger’s wealth of experience would be an asset this season as the Bianconeri hope to mount a serious title challenge in the Champions League.
